Very smart looking scratchbuild Andy.   :toocool:
Is/was the building a fixture of Camp Douglas, and is it still there?
And are you telling me the Singletons owned it?

Nicely done on the scene Andy,   but I reckon the line crew had better hurry and trim the trees back a bit, or the train gonna wipe a few branches off 'em off real soon   ;D.

The newest arrival to Camp Douglas is Singletons market/post office. The building is scratchbuilt.

I have been working on Singleton's market that goes next to the phone co. and also on the Camp bluff. I decided to use a mirror in this scene to add some depth.

Here is how it will look with a train on the track,

now to get the edges of the mirror covered.

Next on our tour of Camp Douglas is the Lemonweir Valley Telephone Co. office. The building was built in 1904 and has gone through many changes over the years. This is how it looked back in the 1950's.

seems like one of the work crews is back and parked their truck out front.

And what phone company office would be complete without a brand new, stainless steel phone booth?

The building is also built from old pictures loaned to me by the phone company. The model is basicly a basswood sheet box covered with Rusty Stumps laser cut brick using Tichy doors amd windows

Crickey.  :toocool: I go away for only a week or so to do some honest toil, come back and there is a  whole new suburb in the making.

Do you never stop??
I had better extract one digit and start those boys of yours working again, before they forget what to do.

They are a great little couple of buildings and a fine adjunct to your layout Andy,, I hope that Desoto? (car) is not parked there, but on its way out of the dealership.

Hey Andy, you did a great job, even more impressive since you only had photos and no plans.

I think the parking pylons across the road are too new for your era though.  ;D

Here we are back in downtown Camp Douglas, think we should stop at the Camp Douglas Cafe and get a bite.

Building is scratchbuilt from pictures of the real one, thanks for looking!!

Lynn,
It has it's good points and bad points. A good point is I can really get down and detail each small section. Bad point is I can only run my trains back and fourth because all of the track isn't finished. Even though the bad isn't that bad, I have over 42 feet of double track mainline operational!!
