Lucas,
I find a dead tree and get some of the bark off. I put it in a shed outside to air dry for about a month, then I break it into smaller pieces and zap it in an old micro wave for about 30 seconds. The micro kills anything that is left alive in it or on it. It also gets the mold and mushrooms.
After that I give it a shot of cheap hair spray to seal it, and glue it on with wood glue

Thanks Andy, those barks looks terrific!!! How do you protect the wood against humidity and mushrooms?

While I am waiting to finish the church I went back to finishing the bluff. More jig saw puzzle rock faces.
