Well, I knew I was going to need a log dump. My thinking is that logging lines were temporary beasts because when one area was logged off, the companies moved on to another area, so not much was spent on great attention to detail. With that in mind, here's what I came up with for a log dump. I will stain it a little darker when the glue dries good. It should look great when the pond covers the bottom half. We'll see.

Tonight, Kitty wanted to toy around with dirt colors. Dirt around here has a red tint, thus it's famous name "Georgia red clay". With that in mind, we looked around at different areas of exposed dirt and found that it's not all the same shade. We got four different shades and blotted each one on in random order. I think I kinda like it. Just like the real thing, it's not all the same shade. What do yall think?

Got the right side torn out, frame built and foam down. All that's left is a small piece of foam in the center.

Look at all the extra room I have to move around in.

Your going to enjoy the advantages of being able to dig into that foam board for scenery  :)

Excellent work Rob  :whwh:
As one that liked your other layout also, I think you have been able to make a good change. With the experience you have accumulated I'm sure that this will move along quickly. With the use of foam the early base construction is moving along nicely. Keep up the great work and we are following your construction thread closely.
